But the Ramapith blog isn't gone for good. There's lots to come—after I meet just a couple more deadlines. Patience, readers. Prudence, too. And Purviance, if you're lucky.

Your blog is good enough to wait for.
We'll be here when you get back!
Awesome blog, Mr. Gerstein. Your "Felix the Cat" collection "Nine Lives to Live" was great.
Speaking of Felix, have you seen what appears to be a new Felix comic collection coming out? It is listed on Amazon for publication on June 29, 2010 from IDW Publishing. The odd thing is I can't find any info on this new book anywhere besides Amazon. Here is the link to the Amazon page: http://www.amazon.com/Felix-Cats-Greatest-Comic-Tails/dp/1600107052/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1266816664&sr=1-4
Just thought you might know something about the possible new book. Thanks.
It's a new collection of Felix stories originally created for comic books—and one that I'm really looking forward to. It's a project helmed by Craig Yoe for my friend Don Oriolo (son of longtime Messmer partner Joe Oriolo), and I was a casual consultant now and then.
If you liked the classic 1950s Oriolo story I blogged here, you won't want to miss the new volume. Lots of Otto, lots of Joe, and lots of rare, classic four color mayhem. Should be the first-ever comprehensive look at Felix's history in this period.
Sounds terrific. Thank you for the information, Mr. Gerstein.
Keep up the good work! You have a great blog!
If Flip is content to whack away at the rocks, we'll have to be content to wait for him to find diamonds. This way, your big news is all the bigger.
Hi, Ramapith (dave gerstien) you have the coolest website ever! let me know if you have discovered any More lost to history original MGM titles, That extremely cool striped Zoot Cat titles you posted in october makes me want to scat all day long.
